Terms of Service

Last updated: June 11, 2026

By downloading or using Bitzum, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they describe how a non-custodial wallet works and what that means for you.

1. What Bitzum is

Bitzum is a non-custodial Bitcoin wallet. Your recovery phrase and private keys are generated and held only on your device. We do not hold, control, or have access to your funds, and we cannot move, freeze, or recover them on your behalf.

2. Your responsibility for your keys

You are solely responsible for securing your 24-word recovery phrase and your device. If you lose your recovery phrase and lose access to your device, your funds will be permanently lost and no one — including us — can recover them. Never share your recovery phrase with anyone.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use a Bitcoin wallet in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for complying with the laws and tax obligations that apply to you.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Bitzum for any unlawful purpose, to defraud others, or to circumvent applicable laws. We may restrict access to the parts of the service we operate (such as the contact directory and notifications) if we reasonably believe they are being abused.

5. Payments and transfers

Bitcoin transactions are irreversible. Once you confirm a payment, it cannot be undone. You are responsible for verifying recipients and amounts before sending. When you send to someone not yet on Bitzum, the funds are held pending claim and returned to you if unclaimed.

6. No warranty

Bitzum is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Bitcoin is volatile and carries risk. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of funds, loss of data, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Bitzum — including losses resulting from a lost recovery phrase, a compromised device, or user error.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Bitzum after a change means you accept the updated terms.
